Karen Lawrence, MSN, PHN, RN-BC, CCMKaren Website

President / Owner

Karen earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts and her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, summa cum laude. She is certified in Gerontological Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a licensed public health nurse. Karen is also a Certified Case Manager and a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. She has over 30 years of experience working with elder adults in long term care and as an educator working with long-term care nurses and care providers. Karen serves Matrix clients throughout the metro area.

Sandy Egan-McNiff, PHN, MA, RNSandy Egan-McNiff

Care Manager / Licensed Psychologist

Sandy earned her Bachelor of Science Degree at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and her Masters Degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She is a licensed psychologist as well as a public health nurse. Sandy has extensive experience working with all ages in home care, long term care and outpatient clinics. Her area of expertise is in mental health assessment and treatment. She works with clients primarily in the southeast metro area as well as south-eastern Minnesota.

Jenny Hayden, RN

Care Manager 

Jenny earned her Registered Nurse degree from Normandale Community College and has over 27 years of nursing experience. Her background is in hospital setting caring for Neuro, Rehab, Brain Injury, Epilepsy and Medical/Surgical clients. She has worked as a Care Manager and has additional experience in geriatric care management, ensuring high standards of care. Jenny has provided comprehensive care management and personal care to clients as well as training, supervision and orientation to home caregivers. She serves clients throughout the metro area.

Savanna Kamara, RN

Care Manager 

Savanna earned her Registered Nurse degree from the University of St. Catherine in Saint Paul, MN and has over 14 years of nursing experience. She has extensive experience in providing supervision, teaching and mentorship to other nursing care staff. Her background includes working in clinical settings providing nursing care to a wide variety of patients with diverse needs. In addition she has experience in geriatric care management and client assessments and works to ensure high standards of care.

Sherri Kulseth, BSN, PHN, RNSherri Kulseth

On-Call Care Manager 

Sherri earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Minnesota and is also a licensed public health nurse. She has over 15 years of nursing experience, including triage, hospital, homecare, hospice and nursing home care. Sherri works with all our clients as a Matrix oncall nurse after hours, on weekends and on holidays.

Liane Pederson, RN, BALiane Pederson

Educational Coordinator

Liane earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Nursing from the College of Saint Scholastica, Duluth, MN. She has over 19 years of nursing experience and has extensive experience in care management and home health care providing client assessments, care coordination and documentation, as well as skilled nursing care. In addition, much of her nursing work and experience includes providing caregiver supervision, training and education, orientation and skills testing.

Jennifer Segal, RNJennifer Segal

Care Manager

Jennifer earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine and has over 11 years nursing experience. She has worked as a nurse Care Manager for the last 9 years where she has provided comprehensive and personal care management to clients as well as training, supervision and orientation to home caregivers. She also has experience as a nurse supervisor developing and implementing policy and procedures as well as providing oversight of all home care staff.  In addition Jennifer has also worked in the fields of recreational and occupational therapy. She has over 15 years of experience in geriatric care.

Business Manager / Owner

Bruce earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. He worked in disc drive development for 29 years and retired from Seagate Technology to join Matrix full time in May of 2013. At Seagate, Bruce held positions as a design engineer, engineering manager and engineering director in the product development group.  At Matrix, he is responsible for the non-care related business areas including finances, human resources, legal and insurance.

Elizabeth (Liz) Beskar

Administrative Assistant

Liz earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology and English Literature from Miami University in Oxford, OH. She has over 10 years of experience working in Human Resources and Office Administration and joined the Matrix team in November 2014. At Matrix, she is responsible for staffing our care home, in addition to assisting with general staffing and office needs.

Cierra Dowd

Staffing Manager

Cierra graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a double minor in Psychology and Public Health Education. She has 7 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and 2 years experience as a Home Care Services Coordinator. At Matrix she coordinators the clients and caregivers schedules along with the RN’s to make sure all our client needs are met.

Elizabeth EngeldingerElizabeth Engeldinger

Human Resources Manager

Elizabeth attended the University of Minnesota and, after graduating, started her career in human resources as a recruiter. She has worked in many areas of human resources and started at Matrix in 2012 as the Recruitment Coordinator. Elizabeth is now the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for all aspects of hiring, including interviewing, testing, and conducting background checks for potential employees. She also manages employee payroll and payroll procedures.

Gail HochGail Hoch

Operations Manager

Gail earned her Associates in Applied Science degree in Office Administration and Medical Office Assistant degree from the Minnesota School of Business. She has over 17 years experience working in the office setting and manages the day to day operations including client intake and management, maintaining and auditing clinical records, maintaining and auditing policies and procedures, part time staffing, creating and maintaining forms, billing, accounts receivable, and marketing.

Molly HostnickMolly Hostnick

Office Assistant

Molly attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She taught in both public and private schools as a special education teacher for 13 years.  Molly made a career change to work in the office setting and has worked with Matrix for 7 years as the office administrative assistant.
